Triathlon Ukraine is a joint project of the Run Ukraine company, which has been organizing the largest running events in Ukraine for over 10 years, and Sapik Team, the best triathlon team in Ukraine, which ranks 18th in Europe and 130th in the world.
We have currently opened registration for DRAGON CAPITAL KYIV TRIATHLON: 70.3.
Besides the main course of 70.3, the event will also include individual sprinter races, an individual swimming race of 2 km, and a relay.
As to other events of the season of 2022 — DRAGON CAPITAL KYIV TRIATHLON: DUATHLON and DRAGON CAPITAL KYIV TRIATHLON: OLYMPIC — the Triathlon Ukraine team works hard to make sure these events take place. However, we can’t open registration for these events just yet.

[spoiler title=”2. What are the stages of the courses? What distances are allotted to swimming, cycling, and running?” style=”fancy” anchor=”Spoiler-2″]DRAGON CAPITAL KYIV TRIATHLON: 70.3 will include individual and relay races.
DRAGON CAPITAL KYIV TRIATHLON: 70.3 consists of:
- swimming of 1.9 km
- cycling of 90 km
- running of 21.0975 km
SPRINTER COURSE consists of:
- swimming of 750 m
- cycling of 20 km
- running of 5 km
The event DRAGON CAPITAL KYIV TRIATHLON: 70.3 will be held in Kyiv. The starting point will be located at Naberezhne Highway, and the finish point will be located at Kontraktova Square.

2) Click “Register.”
3) Enter your login and password to log into your personal profile (if you have participated in our events before).
4) Click “Enter.”
Please, notice! If you haven’t participated in the events from Triathlon Ukraine before, you will have to click “Register” and provide your personal information. We will email you your login and password to access your personal profile if your registration is successful.
5) Check the information in your personal profile and fill in the blanks.
6) Choose additional merchandise (if you wish) and click “Continue.”
7) Confirm your order, provide payment details, and click “Pay.”
8) If your payment is successful, you will receive a starter letter in your personal profile (“My events” tab) or email box provided at registration.
Your starter letter will include the following information: course, age, race number, full name, contact information.

According to the “Rules of Triathlon Ukraine 2022”, the race participants pay the entry fee by electronic payment on the organizer’s website.
The payment service is provided by the Interbank system of electronic invoice delivery and payment Portmone.com using a modern and secure payment card authorization mechanism.
Payment card details are entered on the Portmone.com website in a secure mode and are not available to employees.

Registration for DRAGON CAPITAL KYIV TRIATHLON: 70.3 is open from December 14, 2021, through August 6, 2022 (provided available slots).

[spoiler title=”8. What will be the race format: offline or online?” style=”fancy” anchor=”Spoiler-2″]
The organizers plan to hold the races offline in full compliance with quarantine restrictions. Depending on the quarantine zone (green, yellow, orange), the organizers will start the race in waves.

Can I get a refund for my registration if I cannot participate in the race?” style=”fancy” anchor=”Spoiler-2″]The entry fee paid by the Race participant is not refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to: if the participant is unable to participate in the race, cannot complete the selected course, does not meet the established time limit, and if the participant is disqualified or the race is canceled due to the unforeseen consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic or due to force majeure, etc.

[spoiler title=”10. Can I transfer my slot to another participant?” style=”fancy” anchor=”Spoiler-2″]The entry fee paid by the participant may be transferred to another person within the event free of charge no later than 30 days before the day of the Race.
In the 30 days before the start of the Race, the service “Entry fee transfer” or “Course change” is available for a fee. The cost of the service is 1000 UAH.
The participant must purchase the “Certificate of entry fee transfer” or “Course change certificate” from the online store at http://runukraine.org/shopping.
The participant must submit an individual application by sending a letter to [email protected] with “Entry fee transfer No.certificate order” or “Course change No.certificate order” in the subject line and the necessary data provided.
After the procedure, the new participant receives a new non-personalized Race bib number with a result capturing electronic chip and everything else provided in the starter pack for a particular course. The previous participant’s Race number specified in the application is canceled.

[spoiler title=”11. How can I receive my starter pack?” style=”fancy” anchor=”Spoiler-2″]Starter packs will be distributed at Expo2022 the day before the race, August 6 for DRAGON CAPITAL KYIV TRIATHLON: 70.3.
To receive your starter pack, provide your starter letter and an ID certifying your identity.
Each relay participant must be present during the starter pack distribution at Expo 2022 and present an identity document. The whole relay team receives their starter packs at the same time. To obtain the starter packs, all team members must be present simultaneously.
Please, notice! There will be no starter pack distribution on the day of the Race on August 7, 2022.

[spoiler title=”12. Can a third person receive my starter pack?” style=”fancy” anchor=”Spoiler-2″]Yes, a third person may receive a participant’s starter pack provided:
- the participant personally informs the organizers about this 7 days before the race by submitting an email to [email protected]
- the third person comes to the Expo on the day of starter pack distribution and provides a document certifying the identity of a person receiving the starter pack (passport, driver’s license, etc.), a copy of the documents certifying the identity of a person that purchased registration, a starter letter signed by the person that purchased registration, and a statement signed by the person that purchased the registration.

I, (full name of the person that purchased registration), ask you to give the starter pack with the number (participant’s race number) to my representative (full name of the person receiving the start pack) because I am unable to receive it in person.
Date and signature of the person that purchased registration.
Please, notice! This paragraph does not apply to the participants of any relay, namely DRAGON CAPITAL KYIV TRIATHLON: 70.3.RELAY.
It means that every relay participant must be present in person at the starter pack pick-up and must present an ID on the day of distribution of start packs at Expo2022. The team must receive all starter packs at once, which means all team members must come together to pick up the starter packs.
[/spoiler] [spoiler title=”13. Do I need a license to participate in Triathlon Ukraine races?” style=”fancy” anchor=”Spoiler-2″] [/spoiler] [spoiler title=”14. What else do I need besides the purchased registration slot for the race?” style=”fancy” anchor=”Spoiler-2″]All athletes must have:
- Triathlon Federation of Ukraine license. It may be obtained through the Federation website;
- insurance (included in the starter pack);
- starter letter signed by the participant.
Participants aged 18 or older are admitted to participate in Triathlon Ukraine’s races.
[/spoiler] [spoiler title=”16. Are there time limits for the races within Triathlon Ukraine? If so, what are they?” style=”fancy” anchor=”Spoiler-2″]Yes, there are time limits.
The overall time limit for the course DRAGON CAPITAL KYIV TRIATHLON: 70.3 (swimming 1900 m + cycling 90 km + running 21.0975 km) is 7 hours. However, if a participant takes longer than 5 hours 5 minutes to finish the first two stages, they are not admitted to the third stage.
The overall time limit for the course DRAGON CAPITAL KYIV TRIATHLON: SPRINT (swimming 750 m + cycling 20 km + running 5 km) is 2 hours. However, if a participant takes longer than 75 minutes to finish the first two stages, they are not admitted to the third stage.
The overall time limit for the course SWIM 2000 m is 1 hours 10 minutes
A 35% discount may be given to:
- combatants and war veterans;
- internally displaced persons from the ATO zone;
- people with disabilities of groups 1, 2, and 3;
- women 55+, men 60+;
- students
- Run Ukraine and Triathlon Ukraine volunteers.
To receive a discount, the participant must submit an individual application by emailing [email protected], specifying “Special category” in the subject line.
When applying, one needs to attach documents according to the privileged category: a copy of passport, pension certificate, combatant certificate, pension certificate of a person with disabilities, a special certificate of an internally displaced person from the ATO zone.
[/spoiler] [spoiler title=”18. Are there any attire requirements for the swimming stage? ” style=”fancy” anchor=”Spoiler-2″]All athletes must complete the swimming stage in swimming caps. The wetsuit requirements depend on the water temperature, category, and age group.
For the “PRO” category. If the distance is 1500 m or less, the participant is forbidden to wear a wetsuit for the swimming stage when the water temperature is +20 ºC and above. A participant must cover the distance in a wetsuit if the water temperature is +15.9 ºC and below. If the distance is 1501 m or more, the participant is forbidden to wear a wetsuit for the swimming stage when the water temperature is +22 ºC and above. A participant must cover the distance in a wetsuit if the water temperature is +15.9 ºC and below.
For athletes in age groups. If the distance is 1500 m or less, the participant is forbidden to wear a wetsuit for the swimming stage when the water temperature is +22 ºC and above. A participant must cover the distance in a wetsuit if the water temperature is +15.9 ºC and below. If the distance is 1501 m or more, the participant is forbidden to wear a wetsuit for the swimming stage when the water temperature is +24.6 ºC and above.
A participant must cover the distance in a wetsuit if the water temperature is +15.9 ºC and below.
The required wetsuit must cover at least the torso. The thickness of the wetsuit should not exceed 5 mm.
[/spoiler] [spoiler title=”19. What should a participant do if one needs help during the swimming stage?” style=”fancy” anchor=”Spoiler-2″]If a participant needs help during the swimming stage, one must raise a hand above one’s head and yell for help.
[/spoiler] [spoiler title=”20. Are there any restrictions on the types of bike used for the cycling stage? Can I participate on an MTB?” style=”fancy” anchor=”Spoiler-2″]There are no restrictions on the types of bikes used for the cycling stage. The only requirement is that both wheels must have working brakes.
Also, bicycle wheels must not be equipped with mechanisms that accelerate the movement.
[/spoiler] [spoiler title=”21. Are there any requirements for the participant’s attire at the running stage?” style=”fancy” anchor=”Spoiler-2″]A participant cannot run the distance with a naked torso and/or a helmet on one’s head.
[/spoiler] [spoiler title=”22. When should a participant bring the bike and other equipment to the transit zones?” style=”fancy” anchor=”Spoiler-2″]A participant must bring the bike and other equipment to the transit zones in advance. Cycling equipment is brought to transit zone No.1, and running gear is brought to transit zone No.2.
All equipment must be set up in the transit zones one day before the race for triathlon races. Sprinter course participants may bring their equipment in the morning on the day of the race.
[/spoiler] [spoiler title=”23. How many participants may participate in the relay?” style=”fancy” anchor=”Spoiler-2″]Two or three participants may participate in a relay.
If there are three participants on a relay team, each of them finishes a particular stage of the race (swimming, cycling, or running). If there are two participants, the first one finishes one stage, and the second one completes two stages of the race.
A team may consist of only men, only women, or be mixed.
[/spoiler] [spoiler title=”24. Can the order of relay participants be changed after registration?” style=”fancy” anchor=”Spoiler-2″]Yes, the order of relay participants may be changed in the personal profile.
[/spoiler] [spoiler title=”25. Is cashback accumulated for purchasing registration for races from Triathlon Ukraine??” style=”fancy” anchor=”Spoiler-2″]Yes, 10% from each purchased registration is added to the participant’s cashback account.
For every 10 UAH spent on purchasing registration, a participant gets 1 point to the cashback account. One point from the cashback account equals to 1 UAH.
The accumulated cashback points may be spent on purchasing registration slots for upcoming events.
Cashback points, accumulated from purchasing registration slots for running events from Run Ukraine, may be used to register for the races from Triathlon Ukraine.
